London Halal Forum 2026: Global Business Opportunities

LONDON — Investment, finance, tourism, technology and international trade featured prominently at London Halal Forum 2026, as industry participants explored opportunities across a global halal economy that extends well beyond food production.

  • Trade and global partnerships

The second edition of the forum took place at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre on 10–11 October under the theme “Halal Tayyib for Humanity”. Its programme brought together discussions on commercial development, supply chains, branding, modest fashion, lifestyle and cultural exchange.

The range of subjects reflected the growing diversity of businesses and services connected with halal markets, from manufacturing and financial services to tourism, technology and consumer products.

Investment and finance

Investment and access to finance are important considerations for companies seeking to expand production, develop new products or enter international markets.

Businesses operating across the halal economy may need capital to improve infrastructure, strengthen supply chains, meet relevant standards and establish distribution networks. Cooperation among investors, financial institutions, producers and regulators can help businesses identify opportunities and plan for growth.

The forum provided a platform for stakeholders to discuss how stronger commercial relationships and cross-border partnerships could support the development of halal businesses.

Tourism and technology

Halal tourism was another area of interest, with businesses and destinations seeking to understand the needs of travellers looking for services and experiences that align with their preferences.

Developing this market can involve more than providing suitable food. Accommodation, visitor services, destination information and customer confidence can all influence the travel experience.

Technology can support these efforts through digital booking systems, improved access to information, supply-chain management and tools that connect businesses with customers across different markets.

Trade and global partnerships

International trade was a further theme running through the forum’s programme. Companies looking to expand beyond domestic markets need reliable partners, clear regulatory processes and effective logistics to move products across borders.

Stronger cooperation between producers, distributors, investors and public institutions can help businesses identify new customers and develop long-term commercial relationships.

Branding and consumer trust are also relevant to international expansion, particularly in markets where customers want confidence in product quality, authenticity and the standards applied throughout production.

The forum’s wider programme, including discussions on lifestyle, modest fashion and Islamic art, demonstrated the breadth of sectors connected with the global halal economy.

Organised through the Halal360 Platform, a joint initiative of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development and Saudi Arabia’s Halal Products Development Company, the event brought together commercial and cultural perspectives under one programme. HPDC served as the main sponsor.

As companies continue to explore international opportunities, forums that connect businesses, investors and institutions can provide space for exchanging ideas, establishing partnerships and examining the practical challenges of market development.

London Halal Forum 2026 offered participants an opportunity to consider how investment, finance, tourism, technology and trade can contribute to the next stage of growth in the global halal economy
