Do you have a passion for local news and community storytelling? North London News (NLN) invites you to become a volunteer Street Reporter and help bring real, grassroots journalism to the people of North London.
As an NLN Street Reporter, you will have the opportunity to:

- Strengthen local democracy by holding authorities accountable

How to Become an NLN Street Reporter
No prior journalism experience is required. All our reporters first complete the Street Journalism Training Programme, an online, self-paced course designed to teach the core skills needed for accurate, ethical, and impactful reporting.
About the Training Programme
- Learn the fundamentals of journalism, from news writing to ethical reporting
- Develop skills in mobile journalism, interviewing, and digital storytelling
- Gain hands-on experience through practical assignments and guidance
- Receive an NLN Street Journalism Certificate upon completion

What Happens After Training?
Once you complete the programme, you can start contributing reports to North London News (NLN) as a volunteer Street Reporter. Your stories will help inform, engage, and empower communities across Barnet, Enfield, Hackney, Haringey, Islington, and Brent.
