Who Are the Teenagers Charged in Connection With the Shooting?

Two teenagers from Hertfordshire have been arrested and charged in relation to the shooting. Benjamin Marmah, aged 19, from Richmond Road, Potters Bar, was arrested on Friday, October 17. According to court records, Marmah was charged the following day and remanded in custody to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on October 18.

Kitan Ojelade, 18, of Creswick Court, Welwyn Garden City, was arrested on Wednesday, October 22. He was charged on October 23 and similarly remanded in custody. Ojelade appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on October 24.

As documented by court officials and reported by local media, both Marmah and Ojelade are scheduled to make a further appearance at the Old Bailey on Friday, November 14.

What Is the Status of the Police Investigation?

The investigation into the shooting is being carried out by the Metropolitan Police, who have stated that the inquiry remains ongoing. Police appeals for information have sought to gather evidence related to the incident, and authorities continue to work to understand the circumstances surrounding the event.

Specialist officers are also providing ongoing support to the victim’s family, underlining the serious nature of the incident and the police commitment to the case.

What Are the Court Proceedings and Legal Implications?

Following their arrests and charges, both teenagers have been remanded in custody and appeared at the local magistrates’ courts in Willesden to face the charges. The next scheduled court date for both Benjamin Marmah and Kitan Ojelade is at the Old Bailey, London’s central criminal court, on November 14, where further legal proceedings will take place.

The charge of attempted murder is a serious criminal offence, carrying significant legal consequences if the accused are convicted. The court appearances will determine the direction of the case, including possible trial dates and discussions on bail or other procedural matters.
