If you are no longer working full-time and have time on your hands, the Crouch End & District u3a (CEDu3a) could be perfect for you. Join a community of like-minded people, make new friends, develop your interests, continue learning and, most importantly, have fun!
With over 1200 members, CEDu3a is a mutual aid organisation where members volunteer their time and experience to run over 130 interest groups, organise concerts, parties, outings, quizzes and coffee mornings, all open to local members. Members are encouraged to set up new groups based on their own interests and areas of expertise.
Every month expert guest speakers give talks covering everything from cultural figures to our architectural environment, historical events to social issues, and more. We have a much- praised website, a Facebook page, a monthly bulletin, and a quarterly newsletter – all designed to keep members bang up to date with what’s going on.
Our Chair, Andrew Sich, says:
“I am so proud of the energy, enthusiasm and vitality of our members, making our u3a one of the busiest and most active in the country”.
Members are welcome to join from across Haringey, covering Crouch End, Muswell Hill, Tottenham and Stroud Green. Groups hold meetings in pubs, sports facilities, cafés, libraries, church halls, leisure centres, members’ homes and online.
With no paid staff, we can keep our annual membership to just £25 (with a £5 concessionary membership for those on means-tested benefits). Half-year membership is £12.50 if you join at the Open Day. Or join via our website www.cedu3a.org.uk or email membership@cedu3a.org.uk.
We look forward to welcoming you to our Open Day featuring various interest groups and activities on Friday 29 May at: Hornsey Town Hall, The Broadway, Crouch End, London N8 9JJ. Bus routes W7, W5, W3, 41 and 91 are nearby. The venue is accessible for those with mobility issues.
